If you didn’t skateboard in the 2000’s then this post will probably mean nothing to you but yesterday at the skatepark I encountered someone who had never heard of Chad Muska.
This instantly made me think of a poem I’d read called “Ozymandias”. I’ll include it below but in summary it’s about a traveler who encounters a large, decaying statue while wandering in the desert. This idea really highlights how even the most important people eventually fade into obscurity. Who was the king of England in 1345? I have no idea but to the people of that time period, he was an important ass dude.
